Comments: | We attended a birthday party with 25 people and the checks were done separately but 18% gratutity was added. Not a big deal except the
gratutity was spread out evenly between all the bills whether you spent
$15.00 or $60.00. It should have been 18% of your individual bill. We
were charged for childrens drinks when the menu stated they were free with
the meal. To make matters worse, while our party was trying to get their
bills straightened out, I got sick from the entree I ordered and was in
the bathroom throwing it up. My husband and I have been to this Barley's
3 times and twice we have had problems and bad experiences. We would not
have gone but the party was for my husband's grandmother and we could not
say no. If anyone reads this and decides to venture to this Barley's
please be careful with what you order and pay attention to your bill. |

Comments: | My wife and I have become very disappointed with this establishment. From the very casual attitude of the front hostess (not a new employee), to the hit or miss service, this place is no longer a good option in the Praire Village area. We were so hoping that this place would provide great service, great food and a reason to come back often and unfortunately, it does not. |

"May I please have some water?"
The bar service is great. The menu is OK. The service is AWFUL. Drinks are only refilled when the check is brought to table. The brunch is luke-warm and the brunch can have flies swarming around. |

Comments: | This establishment has potential, but i've determined the
problems with service and food to be on the management end, I've talked
with employees, they are trying, but they cannot correct management
problems. Maybe that will change one day, and Freestate will compete with
75th street brewery. But until then, there are so many better places to
enjoy a fine dining experience, while in that neat college town. Ps. I'll
review them in a year, and submit an update in 2004. |

Comments: | I have been going to Freestate for over 10 years and have always had great service and high quality food with inovative specials. Their beer is the best in the midwest. I had only one problem with the food in 10 years and it was immediately taken care of by the management. I highly recomend Freestate as one of the best micobreweries in the U.S. |

Comments: | We sat down outside long before many of the people who came and went before we even got our food. When we questioned the server about the length of time it was taking we were told that it was because we ordered the Tenderloin and they have to fry it. We then asked to see a manager. Our food came out about 5 min after that, missing several things. Then another "server" asked if everything was ok as she walked by in a rush. We then found out that was the manager. We asked to speak to her. She came back out and the only thing she offered us in return for our one hour and 45 minute lunch was to take the price of the cheese off of our ticket, which they had already charged us double for anyways. We never received refills on our drinks and never received silverware, had to ask for menus, and the server was never around. |

party here a couple of years ago. I've never been disappointed. All three
of us had different things (BLT Wrap, Reubin, Jerk Chicken Sandwich), all
meals were execellent. And our waitress was psychic! She just about had
beer drawn before we asked, and when one of us had finished her beer and
wanted water, she had the glass of water in her hand, ready to deliver.
Will be back, again and again. |

Everyone will go out of there way to help and provide excellent service. Everything on the menu is great and the portions are bigger than one needs to eat! The atmosphere is very nice with a selection of 25 pool tables, a few video games and foosball tables. Also many tv's to watch the game. |

Comments: | Tanner’s is a KC chain so I thought it had to be good, but boy was I wrong. Food tasted like a high school home economics class made it. I got a Ruben sandwich with NO sour kraut or thousand island dressing! It was just rye bread and meat. After speaking with my server she told me the cook always makes them like this. My husband’s steak was just as bad. The food on top of our hour and a half wait was just horrible. I can’t believe a chain like this has lasted so long. Non-smoking accommodations would have also been helpful! |
