Comments: | Stroud's is one of the best restaurant's in town. It is inexpensive and the food is first class. If you go, go early. At three in the afternoon on either Sat. or Sun. The wait will be one to two hours but the wait is worth it. |

Comments: | When you think of Strouds everyone thinks chicken which is the best in the world. But it might come as a suprise that they serve a great steak too, better than Herford House or Golden Ox. The sides are the same and if you have to wait it's a nice relaxing place to do it. The owner and staff are super friendly and make you feel right at home. Dress is casual. Besides chicken and steaks the pork chops are out of this world too. Come on up north and sit a spell. |

Comments: | Only ate here once when we visited family near KC last year..but it was great! The wait was really long, but there was a nice pond area and the kids (we had 5 with us) had plenty of room to run. The food was excellent and there was plenty of it, and my sons are still raving a year later in Ohio about the fried chicken! |

Comments: | If your looking for a place to hang out. This is it! It's like going to Grandmas house. The staff goes out of their way to get to know everyone. Joe and Mike are excellent bar tenders. They make a mean chicken choker. The 1-2 hour wait is well worth it. Spend it strolling the grounds, visiting the pond, or bellying up to the bar. Strouds is a great place to dine and hang out with friends. |

Comments: | Got the Chicken dinner wife got the 5 Huge Shrimp. The chicken seemed dry, the shrimp had good taste but breading was not what I was
wanting. Maybe too much Popeyes chicken for me?!?! For the price I would
have wewnt somewhere else. Used to go there when I was a kid and was not
very pleased this trip. Maybe a bad outting. |

Comments: | I didn't think the chicken was as fantastic as every thinks it is. It was moist but didn't have any flavor. KFC chicken has more flavor and substance. The family style serving is very appealing and the facility is beautiful inside and out. Each dining room has it's own personality. Very family friendly! |

Comments: | This place deserves its long, successful track record. Our family gets nothing but the chicken fried steak and has NEVER been disappointed. You get to eat more of their gravy. Also their salad with House dressing--generous and good. Of course sides of green beans and mashed potatoes are must haves. |

Favorites: | Cinnamon Rolls |
Comments: | Stroud's is one of my favorite restaurants in Kansas City and I typically stick to pretty high end places elsewhere. The chicken is great, but what I always wait for are the cinnamon rolls. Typically I go to the one closer to the city, which is in a little bit of a scary area, but it is worth it for the food. |
