Comments: | This place sits down in an industrial area off Kansas Ave. where it gets alot of trucker traffic. The night we visited we had below average service. The waitress was too busy gossiping/complaining about her co-workers with another customer. All the Waffle House's I have ever been in, the waitress hands you a menu and then expects you to order immediately. Why I don't know. They act upset if you don't know what you want and have to come back. They do have a big menu with lots of choices. My wife had a ham steak dinner with a piece of ham so thin you could practically see through it. They do offer "double meat" for only $3 more. Yea right! My steak was good and cooked right. Salad was lettuce only with one tiny pouch of dressing and SALTINE crackers. Would have preferred the traditional Club crackers. The tomato on my sons hamburger was a tiny, shriveled slice off the stem (still atached) end. I'm told they do offer an all-you-can-eat option on many of their menu items all day Monday-Friday so that may be the way to go because most of the food was good just smallish portions. I have had their waffles and other breakfast type food at one of their Springfield, Mo locations and found that pretty good. Just like everywhere else it all depends on who is doing the cooking and waitressing at the particular time you visit a place. We will probably go back eventually. |

Comments: | In your face and down to earth! For those who have never
experienced Waffle House you are in for a bit of a suprise! The cook does
it all from memory and somehow gets it all straight. They do it all right
in front of you and have great attitudes! A bit irreverent but perfect for
that "after the bar" spot! |

Comments: | The food at Waffle House isn't exactly unique. It's just good ol' American food. What makes Waffle House one-of-a-kind is the
atmosphere. It's a culture shock for those who aren't familiar with
blue-collar, hillbilly ambience. Let's just say you don't need a coat and
tie. And it finally happened: in a recent trip to Waffle House, I
witnessed a fight between a drunk chick and a fellow customer who didn't
appreciate her spitting in his iced tea. Not to worry, the fry cook took
time out from his duties to break up the ensuing brawl. Think of Charlie
Daniels' Uneasy Rider. Tip yer hat to that lady, son. |

Comments: | Waffle house is a dirty, God-forsaken pit of a restaurant. With horrible wait staff and equally abysmal food, this "World-Famous" restaurant is best left unentered. Stay away, very, very far away. Even worse than McDonald's!!!! |
