Favorites: Fire Chicken, Hurricane Soup
Comments: For recommendations, try one of their awesome soups, Thom Kha Gai (a rhapsody of flavors, including ginger, lemon grass, curry, mushrooms, chicken, red peppers basking in a perfect coconut milk broth); Three Kings (chicken, shrimp and vegetables bursting with flavor) and Hurricane soup, my favorite, consisting of a medley of savory seafood including squid, shrimp, crab and other aquatic delicacies. Among entrees, the Pad Thai is a favorite with their customers. My favorite is the Fire Chicken, a healthy blend of chicken and fresh vegetables in an exquisite spicy sauce, served with a touch of flame.

Comments: Bangkok Pavillion has good Thai food. I've only been for lunch, but the buffet is a nice representation of Thai for the uninitiated. Not very spicy, but the staff will bring peppers and spices to heat up the meal, if you ask. Ordering from the lunch menu, the food is better. The Pad Thai is great, so is the Seafood Combo. They also have delicious Thai Iced Tea with the wonderful coconut milk that keeps heart doctors in business. Fabulous! The service can be slow and on the unattentive side.

Favorites: Phad Thai
Comments: Based on the review I read on this site, my boyfriend and I decided to check it out, and were pretty disappointed. The soup and the phad thai were satisfying, although we have had MUCH BETTER. THE FIRE CHICKEN WAS HORRIBLE! The chicken was way overcooked, and the sauce tasted like watered down oyster sauce. What's up, Dave? I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone who has ever experienced real thai food. This place is acceptable for those with an inexperienced

Favorites: pad thai
Comments: This restaurant was remarkably good for a lunch buffet. The variety was awesome, and the quality of the food was great, too! The pad thai was the best, followed by the yellow fried rice. Should be a nice change from the regular chinese lunch buffet, Give it a try!

Favorites: Fire Chicken
Comments: The lunch buffet is great. When you order off the menu, you can choose from 5 levels of spiciness. It makes it so you can really customize to your taste. I love that part

Favorites: Panang Curry Chicken, Lovely Chicken, Spring rolls
Comments: I live in Colorado, where I have yet to find a Thai restaurant that serves a good Panang Curry - my favorite Thai dish. When I visit family in KC, I always go to barbeque and here for Thai. The Panang Curry is just the way I like it - sauce, chicken, rice, and very very few vegetables. The Lovely Chicken in peanut sauce, the orange chicken, and their spring/summer rolls are very tasty also. I've tried the Fire Chicken and it was bland - but it's not my kind of dish. My wife and I always get the same meals, so I can't comment on the ones I haven't tried. Be careful of the level of spiciness - it can get hot if you're sensitive.

Food: **** superbNotes: Best Thai in Kansas City
Service: **** superbNotes: We are regulars, so hard to judge
Favorites: Any of their curries, Seafood Noodle Soup
Comments: For my family, this is the best Thai in town. We wish them the best for a speedy recovery (The restraunt just caught fire from a lightning strike!) Having traveled to Thailand, and eaten at almost every other Thai restaraunt in the KC area, this is our favorite! Their curries are creamy, their soups are well made, and their Phad Thai is my wife's favorite. I am the spicy freak who orders 20 stars instead of the menu listed maximum of 5, and they always take care of us. Although not a traditional Thai dish, the Crab Rangoon should not be missed.
