Comments: | Very good chinese buffet with lots of choices all of which are good. Really didn't care for the soups (hot & sour and egg drop) but the entrees are all tasty, especially the seasoned shrimp and orange chicken. The only mystery was a sign over one of the selections on the buffet that said "Fried Bananas" which upon tasting revealed tater tots. I don't get that one. Must of been an error? The coconut cookies reminded me of Mounds candy bars without the chocolate. They are awesome! Service is pretty quick to refill drinks and they keep the used dishes picked up too. Evening buffet costs about $7/person with kids under 5 (I think) free. Worth a visit. |

Comments: | It's a small, easy to miss restaurant, but the food is always hot and fresh and tastes good. Maybe we can infer something from the fact that there always seem to be many Asians eating there. They do a buffet, too, weekdays for lunch and dinner and Saturdays for dinner only, but they don't seem to pay as much attention to it as they should. You're much better off ordering off the menu. An excellent restaurant! |

Comments: | You have to visit this place to believe it. They have the best
crab dishes. They have live crabs in tanks and the biggest ones. If you like spicy Indian food, try everything with 'curry' in it. They carry good Japanese beer (my personal favorite is SAPPORO). Their menu is very long and if you know what you want, they will be glad to assist you. My chinese colleagues say this is the only authentic chinese place they liked the best in KS. If you are from India and miss crab your mom makes at home, THIS IS THE PLACE! |

Comments: | I've gotten takeout from this place a couple of times and it's been okay, but I hesitate to go back. I drive by the place often and they never seem to do much business. There's a lunch and dinner buffet every day, which I've never had and, again, would hesitate to try because the place is so quiet. The interior is kind of dingy and most of the signage they have on the outside is done with the kind of peel-and-stick letters you buy at the hardware store. Service is pretty friendly, but they seem to be very naive about basic ambience. Brightening the place up and getting some real signs might attract more people. 'Til that happens, I don't think I'll be visiting. |

Comments: | This is an outstanding place to go for chinese buffet! The food was excellent and the service was unbelieveable! The bowtie wearing servers stand almost at attention in the background observing and when your glass is half empty or a dish needs removed they are there almost immediately to refill or remove. The cold oysters on the half shell were great as well as about everything else on the buffet. The only let down were the Crab Rangoons. They weren't "bad" so to speak we just didn't care for their particular recipe. Too sweet but some people may like that. I very highly recommend this restaurant and encourage everyone to try it. Great food, great service at a great price! |

Comments: | This small restaurant off of 58 highway in Raymore (the strip mall with the Dairy Queen) has a pretty good buffet, but I reccomend ordering from the menu. The entree portions are huge, and when made fresh, their egg rolls are as good as those I've had in Chinatown (NY). Avoid the raw shrimp from the buffet, it sits all day and is rarely touched. |

Comments: | This is the most lousy chinese restaurant i ever been. My husband wanted to order lemon chicken, but the owner tried to recommend other favors of chicken instead of lemon chicken. She didn't want us to taste the food we like, but she kept asking us to order other dishes that we did't like such as hot and sour chicken. Later, my husband gave up to order lemon chicken. So ridiculous she was! The Wan Tan soup was too salty! We told the owner that the soup was too salty, then she criticized us that we were so picky. No, we weren't the picky persons. After that, she kept talking sarcastically while we were having our dinner. We ended up with an unpleasure dinner. |

Comments: | This is a very attractive restaurant that always seems to do a good business. I've eaten in and had takeout from the place several times and really wonder why. 'Must be the ambience because the food is really just average at best and prices are on the high side. Service is okay. Maybe it's the best you can do in Shawnee, but I think these folks need to pay more attention to taste and quality so they match the nice atmosphere. |

Comments: | One of the best, if not *the* best, Chinese restaurants in town. Service is *very* attentive...I drink LOTS of ice water with my meals, and my glass was never more than half-empty before being refilled. The food is outstanding. The crab rangoon is only average to good, but
everything else I have tried here is just wonderful. A big plus is that they cook the veggies in their dishes, such as snow peas, perfectly--tender yet crisp. So many Chinese places just make the veggies limp. The Orange chicken is especially wonderful, but all the dishes that I have tried have been outstanding. |

Comments: | It is a shame. At first I was not going to write this review, but it is quite rare that a feeling stays with me for days. It was such a shame when I observed that certain parties were being attended to, and then realized that my party was the only group that had been waiting for 35 minutes and had not had so much as received glasses of water much less some sort of acknowledgment from the staff. I can't even comment on the food because by the time our disappointment developed into anger, we had decided to leave the restaurant altogether. Because we were celebrating a special occasion, we did not make a scene or verbally complain, in an effort to save the evening from total ruin. In retrospect, it probably would have been a good idea. In any event, I expected more from a restaurant that prides itself on its service in the heart of one of Johnson County's most elite dining districts. |

Comments: | Compared to some of the other Chinese takeout restaurants in the area, this place does a booming business and I can't figure out why. The service is okay but the food quality is very inconsistent. THe same item can be cooked or taste very differemtly from visit to visit. The fried rice is absolutely tasteless and Lo Mein is usually so over-cooked that looking at it to hard practically makes the noodles disintegrate. The service is pretty friendly but they really need to work on consistency. |
