Service: poorNotes: unattentive service
Favorites: Salmon
Comments: I have been to Hannah's a few times, and the food is very good. The bad report that I have for them is that when I request salt and pepper, the server looked at me as if I had snakes coming out of my head. When I asked her what the soup of the day was, she retorted that she would tell us when everyone was ready to listen. I asked for extra butter for the bread and she said that there were already 4 servings at our table of 8 and she would see if we would really need it. She then proceeded to go back to the other servers and they were talking and glaring at me at the same time. She served the Lobster Bisque cold. I was afraid to request it to be warmed, for fear that she would tell me it was warm enough for me. I have not had a good experience from one of the other waitors that works there either. This is not Paris, and we are local customers. I would not recommend this due to the staff. They need a course in customer service.

Ambience: * averageNotes: They should do away with banquette seating. HATE IT!
Food: **** superbNotes: Wished I had the elbow room to enjoy it.
Service: *** excellentNotes: She kept spilling things because the tables were too close.
Favorites: Potatoe soup, halibut
Comments: Absolutely detest banquette seating. Don't know anyone who likes practically sittting in a strangers lap while dining. Ruins the whole experience. Get rid of it and I'll be back.

Cuisine: FrenchPrice: $$$$ expensive
Ambience: *** excellentNotes:
Food: **** superbNotes:
Service: ** very goodNotes: service was good but could lose the 'tude
Favorites: Shrimp Denise, steak with pomme frites
Comments: This is a charming restaurant. Small but the three piece combo was not overwhelming in the space and was a great addition to the ambience. All 5 of my party ordered something different and everything was presented elegantly and tasted delicious. The wine list is excellant but not inexpensive, as are all of the appetizers and salads that we tried. Plan for a specail night out and bring some bucks if you want to get the whole picture from salad and appetizer to main course with a glass of wine or two.

Restaurant: Hannah Bistro CafeLocation: 3895 State Line Road
Cuisine: FrenchPrice: $$$$ expensive
Ambience: tackyNotes: Outside in a tent in FEBRUARY! COLD
Food: * averageNotes: Ravioli portion was smaller than a child's meal!
Service: poorNotes: The were embarassed about the seating and ignore us.
Favorites: French Fries
Comments: We were seated outside in an attached tent. Our friends has reservations for a week. This is February and in Kansas City! Cold air whipped around our legs and were cold the entire time, flaps kept coming unattached and chairs blew over. Many diners came, sat down and then left. The ravioli portion, described as large ($20), consisted of 4 ravioli. Smaller than a childs portion at other restaurants. Ridiculous! They made the Almighty extra buck that they were trying for from us, but lost any chance at repeat business.

Favorites: duck
Comments: This is the new Hannah Bistro in the old Cafe Paris quarters. The menu has changed. We thought it rather pricey, including the somewhat limited wine list. Our first bottle had some nasty sediment in it and the waiter replaced it. But when we got to last glass I was treated to that sediment again! The duck was tasty, but cold; my wife's trout was also tasty but cold. The goat cheese salad was great. Fine piano playing and a wonderful French host.

Comments: Went to dinner with a friend here on a Tuesday evening. Arrived around 6pm - no one in the restaurant - I didn't even know if it was open. No one greeted us, and I had to approach someone to see if they were open. Small and quaint - nice atmosphere. Menu a bit limited, and overpriced for the quality of food and service. Server did not know of any specials - and in fact contradicted specials posted at the door. Server also uneducated on the wine list, but did recommend a great wine - Stump Jump. Loved it. Friend had a discount card that was very difficult to use - it included great deals, but was sold differently than how they were going to let us use it. Spent about 20 minutes haggling over the bill. Overall - salmon was good, but for the total price of the meal (2 salmon entrees and a bottle of wine around $75), not worth the money. I would not return.
