Comments: | GET THIS, FOLKS, THE BEST DEAL IN TOWN: Mussels appetizer, $8.99. I thought for that money I would get about 10 mussels on a plate...On the contrary, I got about a 2 or 3 quart bowl HEAPED with mussels in a garlic butter sauce. Yikes! I would have paid $20 for all those mussels! Their spaghetti with marinara sauce and grilled italian sausage is my favorite, and pollo rosamaria with a side of fettucine alfredo is divine. Their plain old house white wine is more than acceptable, and their fried calamari is cooked just right. Their food is worth the extra money spent. Good job! |

Comments: | A premium dining experience! We were served warm bread to dip in an olive oil-fresh herb mixture, immediately followed by an appetizer of calamari, cooked to perfection. As we were eating our salads (icy cold bowls a nice touch), we were treated to a serenade to a neighboring table from an operatic server. It lended an authentic and romantic touch to the evening. We ordered Filet Marsala with sauteed zuccinni, it was to die for! Also served at our table was a grilled salmon filet, perfectly seasoned and with a delicious tomato basil vinaigrette and the best fettucine alfredo I have ever had. Our waiter was extremely knowledgeable, filling us in on how some of the menu items were prepared from scratch, and helped us find the perfect wine. We shared a piece of the tiramisu, which was rich and with a perfect texture. We will definitely come back!

Comments: | Carrabba's is my favorite restaurant. When I travel to other cities, I check to see if there is a Carrabba's there first. I was very excited when the Independence location opened. The garlic sauce, bread and fettucini are the best around. It's a perfect meal everytime. |

Comments: | Prices were moderate for small portion size. Very bland-didn't think anyone could fail with Alfredo of any kind. Waitress was not as attentive as I would think for less than 12 people in restaurant. Very relaxing, intimate, interior. I would wager on a limited lifespan. |

Comments: | Recently tried out the new Carabbas in Olathe. The interior was clean and well decorated albiet a bit dark. The restroom had a tape of "how to speak Italian playing in it". I've seen this at Macaroni Grill. It took almost 10 minutes for service and drink refills were sporadic. The bread was very good. The bruschetta was burnt toast and ice cold marinara sauce. Not a favorite. The salad/dressing was very good. The spaghetti and meatballs was average, nothing spectacular. If I go back I may try a grilled dish as these probably have more imagination. Good for Ameri-Italian cuisine, can't rate the authenticity as I've never been to Italy. |
