Cascone's ALWAYS delivers great food. Large portions every time. I have eaten here many times and have never been disappointed. Sauces are terrific, as are the waiters--not too intrusive. Italian music in the background, Papa Cascone walking the floor. Pasta consistently tastes great. You
will likely have leftovers for lunch! |

Comments: | We read the reviews from this site and thought that we couldn't
go wrong with Cascones. Unfortunately, our experience was not at all similar to the other reviews. When we walked in we noticed that the decor needed some major updating, but with the promise of great food, we overlooked the scenery. We were served bread when we ordered but it was cold with no flavor. We waited 30 minutes for our salads to arrive and they were very tasty. We recommend the house italian dressing. After we
were finished with the salads, we again waited and waited for the main dishes to arrive. When they did, they were not hot and the food presentation was equally unappealing. The lasagna was filled with thick chunks of ricotta cheese and the noodles were too few to mention. The tomato-garlic cappelini was dry with some raw tomato sliced on top.(Not a
hint of garlic or fresh basil as mentioned in the menu.) The waitress recommended the Limontini Chicken with pasta, but it was very disappointing as well. The chicken breast was grissly and the pasta was a substandard fettucine alfredo. This restaurant did not resemble an authentic italian restaurant in the least. Olive Garden and many other
Americanized chains offer more unique dishes with fresh flavors than this place. We were let down and will not be back to spend 14$ for a plate of noodles. |

Comments: | I was very pleased with my dining experience. We ordered the Stuffed Mushroom Caps as an appetizer. We received five LARGE mushrooms, generously stuffed with a crab and shrimp mixture which were then blanketed by a rich, yet delicate creamy seafood sauce. Having choice of soup or salad, I opted for the soup -- Chicken with pasta, which brought back memories of my grandmother -- I thought no one could match her recipe!! I was so wrong!! It was absolutely fabulous. When the entree arrived I could not believe the amount of food I had ordered!! The Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo was not the least on the "skimpy" side! The fettuccine was the richest and creamiest that I had ever tasted, and the chicken was cooked to perfection! What a wonderful combination of food!! Our waitress was more than happy to put half of it in a to-go box for me!!! However, we did not stop our dining experinece there. We were thourghly informed of each and every dessert available for the evening. My defenses went down and I ordered the Lemon Cake -- SUPURB!! The double-layer lemon cake with the lemon cream cheese icing was a wonderful, refershing ending to an absolutely heavenly meal. I will definately visit Johnny Cascone's again -- very soon!!! |

consistantly have the Chicken Spedini, which is without a doubt the very
best you could ever find in any stateside location and probably to include
all of Italy. It is really " To Die For". The fettucini is also excellent
and their dinner salad is the best. This is truly a 4 Star experience
you'll never forget and you'll strongly yearn to repeat !!!!!!!!! |

Comments: | As we walked in, an older gentleman held two fingers up to
indicate the number of our party. Perplexed, because we received no
greeting from him, we nodded our heads. Assuming we were to follow him,
because he had still not spoken to us, we followed him around the corner
to a table. There he unceremoniously dropped our menus and napkins in a
pile, and without ever turning around to acknowledge us, he walked off
leaving us to pick up our napkins and assemble our own seating. The food
was no better than the service. It was the worst experience I have ever
had at a restaurant. I tried to give Cascone's the benefit of the doubt,
but it failed us in every regard. If you are looking for outstanding
service and attention to match the quality of the food, Cascone's is not
the best choice. |

Comments: | My friend and I went to this restaurant after reading this review. We saw lots of positive comments and thought that maybe an occassional bad service was possible. But when we got there, we were very surprised at how terrible the service was. The waiter avoided eye contact with us for the most part. We had somehow expected a menu with both moderate and inexpensive dining entrees, but the cheapest entree we found was an Italian steak sandwich priced around $8.95, which my friend ordered and did not like. My lasagna tasted mushy and overcoated, having too much tomato sauce. The waiter we had seemed immersed in his own world and didn't give us the proper attention that we think every customer ought to have. We definitely aren't coming back to this restaurant. |

Comments: | I took my fiance to dinner here last week, based on the recommendation of a co-worker. We were seated immediately, which suprised us, being that it was Friday night at 6:30. After the meal, I understood why. The service was extremely slow & the food was subpar. We ordered toasted ravioli for an appetizer, it came about 20 min. later. That was fine, but it took another 10 min. after that to get our drinks! We decided to split the Italian Flag combination- it didn't arrive until about 35 min. after we had finished the appetizer. It had very small portions of fettucini alfredo (good), lasagna (not so good), & chicken parmesan (terrible). Then I get the bill, & they charged us $5 extra for sharing the entre! I have never been charged this at any restaurant. If the waiter had told us about the charge, we would have ordered two entre's! After I complained, he removed the charge, but I will still never go back. Don't waste your money here! |

Comments: | Cascone's is a treat! For a moderately priced Italian meal we found the ambience, service and food to be superb. From the moment we walked thru the front door, the staff made us feel at home. The waitress was at our table only when necessary, keeping our glasses full and plenty of homebaked bread on the table. The red sauce is particularly noteworthy at this establishment. The chicken limonata is something special. Hard to beat this place for authentic Italian at a reasonable price! |
