Comments: | After a disasterous experience with Bucca di Beppo, we entered Gambucci's with a bit of trepidation We were greeted immediately, given a tour of several of the room in the restaurant, and were promptly seated. The house wine, a very nice Merlot, was served family style in a ceramic pitcher, and a variety of breads with olive oil for dipping was served. I ordered an entree of eggplant parmigiana and my husband had veal parmigiana. Both were served over a hugh platter of spaghetti. Several people could have dined on what the two of us had. Dessert portions were also huge (next time we'll split just one). All in all, a very nice dining experience - we will be returning to Gambucci's again and I would highly recommend it. |

Comments: | The 10 times I have dined here I have always walked away with a very full belly and some money left over to catch a movie or something. (another plus) The AMC 30 is right there close by. Makes a great date night out. All but one time I have had great service. Waiting area is a mini gift shop and really makes the wait go by faster. Can get crowded sometimes in waiting area, especially friday or saturday nights. Well worth the wait. |

Comments: | The hostess was great, giving us a tour of the many different rooms that we could be seated in, finally deciding on the green room. The wait was non-existent. After a basket of bread with the most AMAZING italian butter (olive oil +spices) our entrees arrived 5-10 minutes after we ordered them. The proportions were huge. I've been snacking on the brick of lasagna for a couple of days i think. Great food, Great atmosphere, great price. Definitely recommend. |

Comments: | I have been to this resturant several times since it has opened and while the service and atomsphere are both good, the price of the food does not match the flavor and quality of the food. Everytime I go there, I end up getting sick and wondering how the bill was so much. |

Comments: | First I do not want to have a kid that is twenty years younger than me calling me dear, baby, or sweetie. Second, I have only been to few Italian resturants in the Metro KC area that were authenic. One is Anthony's on 7th & Grand Downtown, and the other is Garozzo's. This place was comparable to the Olive Garden. I grew up eating home made Italian food. And this was nothing close. We had a party of twenty that they put around a table for fifteen. The portions were alright but the taste was horrible. Mostly I am upset with this Ala Carte menu. Who does that? Oh, resturants simular to buffets. |

Comments: | Putting this restaurant as $$$ is not accurate, $$$ would refer to the "family" portions for the entrees. It is also unfair to compare this to restaurants like Gorozzo's, Anthony's or Lidia's, which are more upscale and considerably more expensive. If you want moderately priced, clean, family style Italian food, and not leave the restaurant smelling like a giant clove of garlic ... this is your place. One negative - skip the salad...it's the only truly overpriced item on the menu ... way too much for iceburg lettuce and italian dressing. |

Comments: | The set up is great, there are 7 rooms to dine in, each with original decor. The smoking section is a completely different room away from nonsmoking. The portions are huge (granted they are meant to be shared) and everything tastes so wonderful! Everyone is so friendly and accomodating, we go back again and again!! |

Comments: | Im sad to say my first visit to Gambucci's was a terrible one . The server was rather unattentive to our needs and had to be asked for refills repeatedly . although he was attentive to the table across from us .. then he followed our party out to parking lot looking for tip after the meal ... that was the fastest service we'd had all that night .. needless to say , I will return for another visit to see if service improves , the food quality was excellent . quite tasty and memorable .. the surrounding were quite nice so I will turn the other cheek and give them another try . |
