Comments: | This is an undiscovered treasure in Overland Park. The Italian is authentic and the service is great. The waiter told us the specials and then basically said they would make anything we desired. I always enjoy great wine and a fabulous dinner. PS. They prefer you to make a reservation! |

Comments: | The main reason we go there is because we have the Passport card, but we have to be in a certain mood to deal with the staff. I don't know if it's the cultural differences or what, but if you ask a simple question, they become rather short with you. This has happened about 3 different times. Once, the owner brought us a complimentary after dinner drink, which was a nice gesture (and good). When I asked him what was in it, he practically accused me of wanting to steal his recipe so I could go into business myself. He was nice the next time but we knew not to ask questions. Just point to the menu item you want and say thank you. |

Comments: | This was a gamble to come here...out of the norm for us. Well different and much welcomed change from the 'Chain' restaurants. Despite it's odd location and very empty Saturday night patronage, the food was terrific, four stars. Outstanding flavor and presentation, great wine list and very nice decor. |

Comments: | Okay, okay. This is a tiny little restaurant in an area not know for it's restaurants. It's hours are also kind of weird, and there never seems to be much of a crowd. The decor is nice, but you can tell it was not done by a professional designer. Think 'Design On A Dime' does Italian restaurant. Don't get me wrong, the ambience is charming, but with a 'my wife did this' kind of feeling. The service has also been brought into question by some reviewers. Well, let's just say that this isn't 'Friday's' or 'Applebee's'. You won't get a perky 20-something waiter/waitress who wants to be your instant best friend. Our waiter was probably the owner (just my best guess), spoke with a slight accent, and had a style that was strictly business. Don't waste a smile and small talk on him. On to the food: last visit I started with a caesar salad which was entirely forgettable. For the entree' I tried the veal marsala and it was full of flavor and very tender. The sauce was very fresh, just wonderful. For dessert I had the creme brulee which was a little different from others I've tried. The creme was orange in color, the crusty burnt sugar was really burnt and the whole thing was topped with fresh blueberries. The berries were great. Finish with a cup of very average coffee. It was a cute little place, but I won't be rushing back any time soon. |

Comments: | This is a truly wonderful, elegant little restaurant, albeit in kind of a non-so-active strip mall. But don't let that sway you. The food was truly outstanding, with a diverse menu. Out table had a range of pasta, veal, salomon and chicken dishes and all were excellent, maybe a bit heavy on sauces and overall quantity. Service was incredibly attentive on a Saturday night. Only complaint was that the courses arrived too quickly, actually overlapping main course service with our starter/salad courses. The wine list is not large, but is very diverse with good Italian offerings. Our waiter actually offered us a '95 Barbera which wasn't on the list. The dining room is actually quite elegant. You can't go too wrong on this one, especially if you're hungry and don't want to spend a fortune. |
