Favorites: | Manicotti |
Comments: | My husband and I ate at Macaluso’s Restaurant last night and left there with the full understanding that we would NEVER go back. Overall, the food was good (my husband had the manicotti and it was well prepared) and the wait staff was slow ( it took the waiter 10 minutes to get our 2nd glasses of wine to us and even longer for them to take our order and put bread on the table).
But what bothered us the most about that night was the customer service of a portly man behind the bar. Unfortunately, I believe this person may even be the owner of this restaurant, which leaves an even more disturbing taste in my mouth. While my husband and I were dining on our dinner, a couple walked into the restaurant prospecting the ambience and awaiting a host to seat them. Within seconds the portly man from behind the bar starts screaming at them to “get out of the doorway so other customers can come in. This scolding went on and on until finally, this older couple, embarrassed and upset for being made to feel like 5 year old children instead of customers, left the restaurant and got into their car. The man behind the bar took so much pride in this scolding. He even went as far as yelling “Bye” at the couple as they were walking out the door. This incident left me disgusted, angry, and in disbelief. Maybe this restaurant will grow to be successful when the management puts the appreciation of the customer first and it’s pride last. We will never be attending this establishment again and I would ask you to consider the same. |
