Comments: | We were thinking about going to the 'burbs for seafood (Joe's
Crab Shack or Dead Lobster) but decided to try Crabs. We'll be back,
again and again and again, the food was wonderful, the ambiance perfect,
and because we got there a bit after 6 p.m., we got a table right away
despite it being Friday night. It filled up about 1/2 hour after we got
there! |

Favorites: | Shrimps,grilled chicken salad, |
Comments: | I especially like the atmosphere, I always get the impression of sitting @ a riverside cafe in Key West. The calypso beat gives a neat
island feel and the waiters are attentive. Its worth the price but not
too pricy. |

Food: | ** very good | Notes: | The food wasn't bad, |
Service: | poor | Notes: | This was so bad it is a show stopper. |
Favorites: | crab platter |
Comments: | They were slow waiting on us at the bar, and it carried over to service at our table. Besides that, we didn't receive our food for over an hour because they had given it to someone else. An offer of free desert wasn't sufficient since we don't generally have desert. SInce I can find the same quality of food at other restaurants with far better service, I would not recommend this restaurant. |

Ambience: | tacky | Notes: | cheesey decor in ladies restroom dirty floors and toilet |
Food: | substandard | Notes: | serves seafood that isn't fresh--unsafe to eat there |
Service: | poor | Notes: | Waiters that will noy special order for dietary needs |

Comments: | I knew we were in for a bad time when the waiter refused to non-fry the soft shell crabs. He wasn't interested in any special dietary needs--he kept saying "not tonight". After eating mussels and being served ones that were not open-meaning they were either frozen or dead when cooked, I was horrified to have a bad raw oyster that tasted and smelled bad. It was very very gross and made me want to vomit. In fact I did on the way home. After waiting for their nonpolished management team to avoid coming to my table they only halved my check. As we were leaving they wanted a TIP. A tip for poisoning me. A ruined evening. DON'T Eat their shellfish--they are not safe. Eating there will make some one sick. These people are very rude and don't listen to customers nor do they care. Bad business people. If they kill someone with their shoddy quality and it happens to be you, don't say I didn't warn you. Don't fool around with old seafood and don't expect them to care if they are serving you a plate of food borne disease causing organisms. Also kids meals are high priced because the table behind us was irritated about the selections and price for what you got. Overall evening from heck. If you enjoy a trip to the emergency room go for a visit--push your luck and your health. |
