Comments: | City Tavern completes the dynamic collection of restaurants in the Freight House, having joined Lidia's and JackStack last year. Despite a rocky start, changing executive chefs only three months after opening, with Chef Tim Doolittle in charge of the kitchen, their food is now
consistently of the highest quality. |

Comments: | Was treated to my 25th anniversary party here, a surprise (had about 21 people attend). Everyone's food was superb, from raw oysters to steaks, our server was wonderful and not flustered by breaking out payment. We'll be eating there again and again, and not just special occasions. |

weekday night, a little understaffed it seemed. Food and atmosphere
topnotch. Expensive |

Comments: | I have eaten here on countless occasions. It's a great place to get to know those around you at the bar, and once seated, my servers have always been friendly and knowledgeable on both food and wine! Only drawback is the drive...30 minutes from Kansas City. Not a drive you want to make if having a few cocktails. |
