Comments: | Nestled away between the IHOP and the Texaco station right off of I-29 and NW 64th street is a little burger jewel known as the Tremont Square McDonalds. If you're traveling up to the airport (or back home from it) and you've got a hankering for a little slice of Americana -- this is your place! Uniformed servers greet you as you walk up to the pristine industrial steel counter with a chipper, "Hi, would you like to try a value meal today?" Unfortunately, your mind may race as your brain tries to sort through the myriad of burgers, chicken sandwiches, nuggets de pollo, and health food selections (salads) that this McDonalds offers. However, the quick-thinking souls at McDonalds have put their frazzled customers first and have numbered their most popular selections for ease of ordering. Some cynical people may think of this as a cheap marketing ploy, but I choose to think of it as a philanthropic gesture. Anyway, when you place your order, your server (who valiently doubles as your cashier too) flies into action and often times gets your meal ready in less than two minutes. (Let's see some of your more upscale restaurants do that!) Your order is served on a sterilized plasticine serving tray and is painstakingly hand-wrapped in biodegradable paper or a sturdy recyclable cardboard container. Your piping-hot french fries come in a handy and colorful box that is perfect for both portability and catching up on the latest Disney movie tie-in. Several times a year, you may even be lucky enough to get a game piece for a wonderful sweepstakes or promotional game that McDonalds is waging. Your beverage comes in several convenient sizes and you can even get free refills. (Wowee!) And for the last word in hospitality, you can get your order "For Here" and partake of the spacious dining hall (complete with faux-marble tabletops and chairs bolted into the floor), or you can get it packaged up "To Go" for the discriminating diner on the run. Either way, you're sure to enjoy your meal!

Comments: | WOW! What do you expect from the golden arches' supper club?! A 1/2 pound sirloin burger with top-quality ingredients? WRONG! You get a microwaved hockey puck on a soggy bun. So hot that if you dropped it, it would burn a hole through the floor. Maybe you should cook it on LOW, guys. And let's not forget the cleanliness! Most restaurant's bathrooms are cleaner than the tables here. I also was lucky enough to encounter some nice fecal matter on the bathroom wall. I almost vomited my hockey puck! I will never go back to a Mickee-D's again! |

Comments: | Hey people, we're talking Mickey D's here, where you get less than what you pay for and the hired help hopes they get fired so they can go back home and sleep, play a kiddie video game or watch MTV.
As long as you expect less, you'll never be disappointed. |
